Hi Jere, I would not leave your horns together unless you are actually at a gig. Your instruments need to be swabbed, but never leave a swab inside your instrument in the case. Doing so only traps the moisture. You might want to lightly wipe the keys down once a week to keep the outside cosmetically appealing. Other than that have yearly cleanings/maintenance completed and above all, love playing the instruments.

As I typically leave my horns assembled and ready to play, what special considerations should I take to ensure my horns (clari, saxes, etc) remain in the best possible condition?

BTW – I’m still extremely happy with the work Jonathan did on my Conn 77N two (or was it three) months ago.
