Post 39: Proper Oboe Assembly

In this video we describe the way we recommend you assemble an oboe.  As oboe repair specialists, we feel taking care of your oboe begins with assembly.  Simply stated, if you do not squeeze the keys too tightly, you have less chance of bending the keys and damaging the corks and pads.  You may personally hold the oboe differently while assembling, however, the principle should be the same, avoid excess pressure on keys.
